| My Honda Hatch |
Earliest moments were in my teenage years when i dreamed of having my own car someday. As my interest grew, i even got to choose a college course of Mechanical Engineering to pursue my interest. Unfortunately, i didn't be able to continue due to financial problem with the family. And i ended up working in my college years and got married early. I guess that's what the usual teenager in my time was thinking to get committed in teen age years. However, on the brighter side was that i finished my college with a different course but in-demand as everybody talked about - Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Management (BSCIM). And the interest in cars was still there. I guess it won't leave my skin since its my first love before my wife. And she knows about it before we got married.
I got my first car in 2000 on a Honda Hatchback (second hand). I love this car. I even drove it to its speed limit in old NLEX overtaking every car like i was just playing a PlayStation game of 'need for speed' that drove my wife nuts and shouted at me to slow down. That was the first time i drove my car like that to satisfy my excitement.
With my first car, i never missed any car shows or events in Manila. Even long before the scheduled date (months before) of the car shows/events, i had it scheduled already whole year round so as not to miss all of them. One great thing that excites me when watching car shows/events are latest trends, styles, new models, shocking kits, new paints, graphics, body kits, wheels, new accessories, etc. These makes me updated on everything about cars and wanting to have some of it into my car.
I even influenced my youngest son to have an interest in cars and he's the one i'm always with, every time there will be car shows/events. My eldest son and my only daughter is getting interested as well. Not to mention my wife. I guess its in the family already. Car nuts indeed!
