Its another Weekend car review. Since i started this featured review, i had cars that are manufactured in Europe from a family sports car to supercars that everybody knows (You may browse this blog to see all of them). Now, this is the first time that i am going feature an American brand car which is the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
The Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car by the Chevrolet division of General Motors that has been produced in six generations. The first model, a convertible, was designed by Harley Earl and introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept show car. Myron Scott is credited for naming the car after the type of small, maneuverable warship called corvette. Originally built in Flint, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri, the Corvette is currently built in Bowling Green, Kentucky and is the official sports car of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The National Corvette Museum documents the car's worldwide history and hosts the annual event.
The latest of the Corvette generations is the Z06 2011 edition. The Z06 sporting an aluminum frame plus use select carbon-fiber components to be the ultimate tract car. With its new Exterior and interior design, it distinguished itself to other corvette generations. And, its powered by a 7.0 Liter LS7 aluminum block V8 with an 11.0:1 compression ratio. It delivers an SAE-certified 505 hp at 6300 rpm and 470 lb.-ft. of torque at 4800 rpm. The engine employs lightweight titanium intake valves and connecting rods and contains a high-performance dry-sump oil system, which distributes pressurized oil to protect vital components under high-g driving conditions.
